Our fresh Texas pecans are certified organic and incredibly delicious. They’re grown on a small family pecan farm in Texas and are the highest quality pecans available. Our premium raw pecans are sold as full halves, not broken into pieces. Once harvested, our pecans are activated, i.e. they’re soaked and dehydrated at low temperatures. This breaks down the enzyme inhibitors present in raw nuts that can affect nutrient absorption. Our Texas pecans for sale are tender and crispy, and a delight to snack on raw or use in your recipes!
HOW OUR ORGANIC PECANS ARE PREPARED
After sourcing our premium raw pecans, we soak and dry them under controlled conditions in a USDA inspected kitchen. Sally Fallon and the Weston A. Price Foundation suggest using this activation process to avail the full nutritional benefits of the nut. We implement extra measures such as refrigeration and vapor barrier packaging to ensure that you receive the freshest and best product possible. After several cycles of soaking and rinsing and allowing the Texas pecans a little bit of air, they will begin to germinate. This starts to break down the phytates present in the nuts and unlocks the stored nutrients within them.
Once the soaking process is complete, the nuts are dehydrated slowly at a very low temperature to give them a delicate crunch and extend their shelf life. This low-heat method preserves the nutrients while ensuring that the pecans remain entirely raw. Wildly Organic Texas Pecans arrive ready-to-use in 7 ounce and 16 ounce vapor-barrier, resealable packaging to maintain freshness. 25 pounds available in a plastic bag (with no branding), zip-tied, and boxed. Packaging may include an oxygen absorber.
