Description Tart-O-Cream is a blend of acid reacting salts and starch that mimics the same effect as the pure cream of tartar. It is strictly an acidifier and should not be combined with baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) to form a baking powder-type leavener. It replaces cream of tartar on an equal weight basis. Tart-O-Cream replaces other acid salts on an equal weight basis, except in angel food cakes where only 60% as much Tart-O-Cream is used. Ingredients Calcium sulphate, monocalcium phosphate, fumaric acid, corn starch. Storage Storage should be in a cool, dry place, in a sealed container for an estimated shelf-life of 12 months.
