Dandelion, a plant which is often looked upon as a troublesome weed, is one of nature’s great gifts. It forms blankets of yellow flowers, which turn grasslands into a beautiful sight to behold. The toothed leaves rise directly from the root and form a rosette around the radius of the herb. Each stem bears one of the familiar bright yellow blossoms.
It is regarded as one of the best herbal remedies for kidney and liver problems. The leaves are particularly beneficial for the kidneys, as they are a powerful diuretic.
However, unlike conventional diuretics, Dandelion does not leach potassium from the body – its rich potassium content replaces what the body losses.
