Bee Propolis is a resin-like substance that is also known as "bee glue." It is made from sap that bees collect from trees and other plants, and is used for sealing small gaps in beehives, as well as reinforce them. Although honey bees use this propolis for structural purposes, people have discovered and interesting use for them. The bees use this substance to support their hives and to keep intruders out, but humans have found a way to use it to bolster their immune systems to protect themselves from bacteria and viruses.
Bee Propolis contains and assortment of vitamins, essential minerals, and amino acids, all of which contribute greatly to the function and maintenance of the immune system. It's also very rich in what are called bioflavonoids. Bioflavonoids are a type of antioxidant that greatly benefit the immune system by aiding in the absorption of Vitamin C, as well as fighting infections.
