Heartburn Essentials is designed to maintain healthy gastric secretion, support digestion and soothe the digestive tract, offering relief from heartburn due to gastritis. It includes deglycyrrhizinated licorice, which provides traditional support for soothing the gastrointestinal tract and promoting the integrity of the mucosal lining. Deglycyrrhizinated licorice also support the body’s natural defence mechanisms by stimulating the mass, quality and production of mucous, a major component of the stomach’s protective lining. Plant enzymes further promote digestive function for optimal nutrient bioavailability and absorption. Gamma-oryzanol is also included, along with artichoke, turmeric, marshmallow and slippery elm, which are all well recognized for their important roles in Herbal Medicine.

 

Each capsule contains 125 mg of gamma-oryzanol (from rice bran oil), 100 mg of deglycyrrhizinated licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) root extract (8–10:1; 800 mg dried equivalent), 100 mg of marshmallow (Althea officinalis) root extract (4:1; 400 mg dried equivalent), 100 mg of slippery elm (Ulmus rubra) bark, 75 mg of artichoke (Cynara scolymus) leaf extract (19:1; 1425 mg dried equivalent), 50 mg of turmeric (Curcuma longa) root extract (standardized to contain 95% curcuminoids), 60 mg of alpha-amylase (Aspergillus flavus var. oryzae) (6000 FCC DU), 0.4 mg of triacylglycerol lipase (Candida rugosa) (32.5 FCC LU), and 0.6 mg of cellulase (Trichoderma longibrachiatum) (22.5 FCC CU). Non-medicinal ingredients: vegetarian capsule (hypromellose, water), tapioca dextrin, ascorbyl palmitate.
