Pro Quercetin is effective in the management of hypersensitivity reactions (type I IgE-mediated reactions) that cause a histamine release, such as seasonal allergies. Quercetin alleviates allergies by stabilizing the membranes of mast cells and basophils, preventing the release of histamine. It also blocks enzymes responsible for producing inflammatory mediators that sensitize the body’s pain receptors. AOR ADVANTAGE Most quercetin-based formulas are derived from citrus sources. This may be problematic as citrus is commonly allergenic. Pro Quercetin is derived from citrus-free sources to avoid sensitivity reactions. Pro Quercetin also includes 20 more capsules than AOR’s Quercetin to support longer therapeutic treatment schedules.
