Pro Lipoic Acid provides only the natural “R” form of the antioxidant lipoic acid. Lipoic acid is a versatile antioxidant known for its ability to protect neurons from the free radicals and heavy metals that promote cognitive and neurodegenerative diseases. It also helps promote healthy blood glucose balance and can repair and prevent diabetic complications such as neuropathy. (R)-alpha-lipoic acid improves energy production, protects the liver, and functions as a lead chelator. Additionally, this nutrient has been shown to mimic some of the effects of caloric restriction, protecting the mitochondria to help extend lifespan.

Adult Dosage:
Take one capsule twice daily with or without food, or as directed by a qualified health care practitioner.
Cautions:
Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or if you have diabetes. If you experience sweating, paleness, chills, headaches, dizziness and/or confusion, discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner as these may be symptoms of serious low blood sugar.
